On Tuesday, 29th May, students were extremely fortunate to receive a visit from a zero emissions rally car on the school grounds. Seven classes, from year 7 through to year 11, listened intently to a presentation from the builder and driver of the car, while the whole school had an opportunity at lunch and recess to observe the car close up, even being permitted to sit inside.

The car was built to aid in a campaign to change perceptions about what is possible with renewables and ecofriendly options. It was the first such car to complete the Dakar Rally and is here, in Australia, to compete in the Finke Desert Race in Alice Springs.
The final time for the return trip back to Alice Springs from Finke was 3:59:34.
What an amazing effort and result!
NB: THANK YOU to Jackson Brooke and wife Emma Reiners for organising the visit.
