My name is Natali Curukovski, I am seventeen years old and I currently attend Epping Secondary College. I was one of five students from Victoria and one of sixteen in the whole of Australia, who won an ABCN Scholarship.
We have had a few functions thus far regarding the scholarship, with my favourite and the most crucial being invited to attend the Leadership Summit in Sydney on 8th August 2017. We were escorted to our hotel and everything was provided for.
On the day the scholars arrived in Sydney, we attended a leadership lunch with professional business people and entrepreneurs from Australia and around the world. They shared valuable information with us that would assist us with school, jobs and our future aspirations.
That evening on the highest floor of an exclusive building in Sydney, we had dinner with CEO Directors of large companies that collaborate with ABCN. The scholars as well as the adults delivered speeches regarding their work and involvement with the scholarship.
All these people are donators to the ABCN foundation. We also had lunch and dinner with our mentors, which assisted us in our communication and goal achievement processes. The assistance from the mentors is more valuable than even the monetary reward of the scholarship.
Furthermore, on the subsequent day, we were all rewarded for our achievements by having the opportunity to explore Sydney’s main tourist attractions. This enabled us to communicate and network with the other scholars as to how we could stay in contact in the following years.
I strongly recommend for every year ten student to apply for this scholarship and engage in their studies as much as possible. This scholarship is only awarded to hardworking and determined students who will maintain their efforts all throughout high school, even after they become recipients of the scholarship.
