The Goals Program, run by the ABCN (Australian Business and Community Network), is a professionally run program which provides year 9 students the opportunity to consider potential career options with the guidance of business professionals.
On Tuesday 8th May, we had our first session held at school, which allowed us to meet our assigned mentor as well as our peer’s mentors. We all participated in an icebreaker activity, in order to ease the nerves of all those involved, followed by a guided tour of our school, so they could observe our workspace. This also gave them the opportunity to socialise and share common interests.
The session ended with morning tea and the exchange of our personal profiles to learn more about each other. The following 5 sessions will be held in the city which we are all looking forward to.
