On Wednesday, 19th June, Epping Secondary College once again enjoyed a great nights entertainment at “The Manor on High”. The evening did not only showcase the musical talents of our college community but also farewelled our well respected Instrumental Teacher of 21 years, Mr George Infanti.
The evening was hosted by our Master of Ceremonies Mr Piero D’elia, who added a touch of class to the evening. Performances ranged from junior pop bands, singers, classroom music students, tribute bands and original song artists. The evening also saw some well-rehearsed performances by our Cert 111 Music Industry students undertaking VET Music at the VCE level. There is no doubt that the calibre of performances were professionally delivered by all involved.
To conclude the evening the college was proud to have had the contribution of some ex-students who came especially to perform for George Infanti. I would like to thank Jack Maxwell, Julian Valeri, Tristan Sinclair, Daniel Pietrobuono and Tara Ismail for making a special guest appearance dedicating the song “To George with Love”
I would also like to thank all parents and staff who attended and supported the evening. We were also fortunate to have the support of Ms Kym Croughan who organised and prepared the wonderful treats provided during intermission. Finally, I thank and congratulate the student performers and our Music teachers George Infanti, Jenny Taylor and Tim Anders. Special thanks to our Music Technician Lewis O’Leary who greatly assisted on both the day’s set up and throughout the performances.
As a college community we look forward to our next concert which will once again celebrate the musical growth and achievements of so many of our talented students.
Last but not least we thank George Infanti for his 21 years of commitment to the college and we wish him every success for the future.
Mr Ross Talarico
Music Coordinator
