The college community holds the core values of Commitment, Respect, Honesty, Fairness and Perseverance as guiding its behaviours. There is a strong transition of pastoral care and support programs for students to address individual needs and equity issues. The college has a full time Student Wellbeing Co-ordinator, four Counsellors, a Multicultural Aide and we also have a partnership with psychologists from New Chapter Psychology.

The college has a strong academic focus with many students achieving some excellent results. At the end of each year, many of our students enter into courses at university, whilst others gain access to TAFE, apprenticeships, traineeships or work. The college employs a full time careers advisor and a Transition Broker to support students at risk of leaving school.

The college has high expectations of students and staff, promotes a positive attitude to learning, and encourages all students to succeed. The fostering of student leadership and enterprise is an important feature of college life. There is also a very strong support for interschool sport with many successes at the Local, Regional and State level.

Parents have high expectations for their children and the college. Parent participation is reflected throughout the college in learning programs, in decision making through School Council and its subcommittees and through support of school activities.
